Back to school for all of us…
With fall here, some of us are once again juggling kids, schooling and work, and others of us are figuring out how to stay motivated and engaged in WFH (work from home) mode. We share some ideas below. With home now more important than ever, please reach out if you have any home financing needs.
Whether you are WFH or SFH (school from home) here are some helpful suggestions:
WFH:
Set healthy boundaries and ask others to respect your work time and work space. Homemade signs can help!
Take breaks and move around. The Pomodoro Technique of time management has you take a 5 minute break every 25 minutes, with a 15-30 minute break after four 25 minute sessions.
Limit social media and other distractions that can pull your attention away from important tasks or drain your energy.
Enjoy healthy snacks and limit caffeine to avoid getting over stimulated or run down.
Try grouping similar tasks together to avoid multi-tasking which actually reduces productivity.
SFH:
Stick to a routine or schedule, and use calendar tools or Alexa to create automated reminders.
Block access to distracting websites for your kids to help them stay on task (Freedom or Cold Turkey can help) and store cell phones during school time.
Have everyone help make pre-packaged snacks and meals so they can “help themselves” during the day.
Make sure your kids take active breaks, too, recess is always everyone’s favorite!
Be sure everyone has some downtime, alone, to regroup and recharge.
Sounds easy, but we know it is not. We are all doing the best we can, and we hope these suggestions are helpful. So, If you want to know about the Fairway Mortgage Reviews, Click: https://www.fairway-newengland.com
