Hope for the best time for prepare the refinance mortgage rates
This often used phrase is thought to have originated in the 18th century, but no literary origin can be traced, despite its being attributed to a variety of authors and individuals. In short, it urges optimism, even as we prepare for adversity, and that seems to be a good maxim to live by right now. Please reach out with your questions about refinancing or a new home purchase, we are here to help you prepare for the best, and worst, of times.
Recently, the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) released updated information regarding forbearance and other mortgage protection, and have urged those of us in the real estate industry to share it with our clients.
We have no way of knowing who, if any of our clients, may be facing financial hardship and struggling to make their mortgage payments. If you are, or know someone who may be, we urge you to refinance home loan in USA, and to share them widely.
A few reminders:
The CARES Act provides protections to homeowners going through hardship due to COVID for federally backed loans. Other lenders may also provide similar forbearance options so contact your servicer directly.
Some in need have not applied for forbearance, but have until Dec. 31, 2020 to do so, and should immediately.
Some in forbearance may need an extension, which can be for up to 180 days for a total of 360 days. Once again, this should be done prior to the Dec. 31, 2020 deadline.
